Alhubb is thrilled to announce the success of its 2025 Wheelchair Rally, an event driven by a passion for raising awareness for the disabled community. The initiative not only brought community members together but also achieved its primary goal of giving hope through action, highlighted by the recent donation of a new wheelchair to a local individual, Mongezi.
A Passion for Awareness and Support
The Wheelchair Rally is a big passion for the Alhubb team, designed to shine a light on the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and to champion a message of inclusion and support. All funds raised through the initiative are dedicated to providing wheelchairs and other mobility solutions to those in need within our community.
A Spotlight on Impact: Meet Mongezi
The direct impact of this year’s fundraising was felt immediately by Mongezi, a young man diagnosed with Arthrogryposis, a condition that affects the joints. Thanks to the generous contributions from the rally, Alhubb was able to provide Mongezi with a new, custom-fitted wheelchair tailored to his specific needs.
For Mongezi, this wheelchair is more than just a mobility device; it’s a key to “the independence that he needs” to navigate his daily life, pursue his goals, and engage more freely with his community. His story is a powerful reminder of how a single act of community support can profoundly change a person’s world.
